Reese Witherspoon started seriously pursuing an acting career after she enrolled at Stanford University. Early successes were with films like Pleasantville, Election and Legally Blonde. It was her portrayal as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde's box office smash that marked the beginning of her acting career. Witherspoon was honored with one Academy Award, in 2005, for her role as Walk the Line. Water for Elephants, This Means War, and Wild are a few of her most recent movies. Witherspoon joined a local newspaper's appeal for extras as a result of an urge in the year 1991. Alongside her acting career, she has appeared in movies such as The Dictator or The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. In addition to her acting work, she's also an accomplished painter and exhibits her work at numerous galleries.
