Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents in honor of the town where she was raised up. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's parents have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. In the year Ryder was seven, her family relocated into Mendocino County California. They resided in an area without electricity. Ryder was a voracious book reader because there was no television. Ryder, then 12, was enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. Her first role was a success on the big screen in 1986 at the age of 15 young. Ryder suffered bullying in her high school. Her performing career, she thought to help, could have helped her. Unfortunately that didn't come to pass. But that didn't stop her following her dreams.
